More snow…

The Almosta Blog Posted on March 26, 2009 by MyriamSeptember 16, 2018

After a couple of weeks of warmer weather during which a lot of snow melted, we were hit with another blizzard on Tuesday. It snowed and the wind blew all day long. We also had some freezing rain so the roads are to be avoided to say the least (and that’s without counting the fact that some roads are flooded). Hopefully, it’s the last snowstorm before next winter.

For those of you wondering how the floods are affecting us, don’t worry. We’re far from the Missouri River and we’re on higher grounds, so we’re safe.

This first picture was taken on Monday, March 23, and shows how much of the snow had melted.

This one shows what the blizzard looked like at our place on Tuesday. Everything is white again.

Cold weather

The Almosta Blog Posted on January 17, 2009 by MyriamMay 31, 2022

Well, if anyone has been wondering about the weather in ND, it can get really cold, believe me!

Two days ago, our outdoor thermometers bottomed out. The one in the garage is totally off the chart and by the time I took a picture of the one in the house, it had started warming up but still… -53? That is darn cold…
